25 students studying Global Governance and Leadership at the SPP and their 2 professors finished the 7-day internship at the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) on September, 24. Among the members of the delegation was Deputy Director of the School of Public Policy and Management Alexey Verbetsky.
The internship included intensive work in classes. The HUST professors delivered lectures on “Human Resource Management in China”, “E-government in China”.
The 4th day was devoted to the research sharing and discussion focused on the comparison of post-transitional housing systems of Russia and China and non-traditional safety issues.
The internship projects were presented after the overview report “Middle East” given by professor Bernard Sussie from Israel.
The visitation programme organized by the HUST was rich and highly varied. The SPP delegation took a chance to visit HUST History Museum, Wuhan Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Eco-Village at Wilijie, Guiyuan Temple, Hubei Provincial Museum, and Visdec Electronic Decision Theatre.
The Huazhong University of Science and Technology is a coeducational research university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Education of China. HUST manages one of the five national laboratories in China — Wuhan National Laboratories for Opto-electronics.
In late October 35 students and 2 professors from HUST will come to the SPP for a study visit.back to list
